It's valentine's day tomorrow and we've been competing with each other since 3rd grade. Sure we've teamed up in olympiads but we hate each other. I'm sure he hates me too for s†éáling most of his olympiad opportunities. I don't know if this is one of his tactics or his real feelings.

We've been through a lot in our rivalry:

1. One time there was a quiz bee for Sociology. It was his at first but the teachers then choose me to be the representative.

2. I know why he always asks my scores after quizzes and exams so that he can compare it to his. 3. Yes, he's trying to be nice to me whenever we are in group projects but I can feel his insincerity behind those

smiles. 4. He's my biggest critic and I caught him one time rummaging through my papers and looking at my daily schedule. Why would you do that huh? 5. When we're on the same team we don't share training

materials.

But why flowers? Maybe he changed now? Do you think there's a chance? I'm suspicious of him because this can be a trap.

Damn he probably did this so I can't focus on my finals. Now I'm overthinking it.

But to be honest, I'm grateful he exists. He never knew how much I pushed myself just so I could keep up or be better than him.

Our competition caused me tons of burn out phases but those phases are the same reasons for my growth. I learned hard lessons from them.

I should never assume. For now, these flowers are just flowers until I figure out the truth.
