The father of the prodigal son was prepared to celebrate. His son had been dead, but now he is alive. What a wonderful reflection of our Heavenly Father. When we stray from His ways and follow our own paths, He is prepared to receive us when we return. And He receives us not with condemnation, but with welcome and celebration!
Heavenly Father, thank You for not giving up on me. Thank You for waiting patiently through my failures, my wanderings, and my sins. Thank You for showing me the road back to You, and for welcoming me with open arms. You are merciful and kind, Lord. Help me to always remember Your love, that I may not stray again.
