PHIsaiah 30:15 (KJV) For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.
God knows what is best for us. He calls us to repentance because it is good for us to be forgiven and cleansed by Him. He calls us to trust Him instead of our own strength because He knows our weaknesses and limits. When we follow our own will, we make our journey harder. But when we are faithful to Him, we find rest for our souls.
Lord, I can’t count the times that I have worn myself weary following my own stubborn ideas. But now I turn to You and lean on Your strength and Your forgiveness. Thank You for calling me to find rest in You. Teach me to be patient and trust You more, so that I may walk in obedience each day, empowered by Your strength. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
