A religion teacher said that there are no atheists because in order to reject God, we must first have a concept of God, and if we have a concept of God, we are not an atheist. In what way is this true, if at all? Why?

i can have a concept of god as a beardman in the sky and it doesn't have to be existing hehe why? because i have a powerful imagination
i can have a concept of anything inside my mind and they don't necessarily be in existence.

The question of fundamental reality is not something that is imagined. Rather, it is inferred from the evidence.

Atheist is a person who disbelieves or lacks belief in the existence of God or gods. They don't reject God or gods, since for them, there's nothing to reject because they don't exist.
Pag sinabi kasing "rejects", parang dini-dismissed lang nya, as in dinedma lang. Mali yung wording nung religion teacher.

Theism = has a concept of God

Even if we ignore the wrong definition we can prove the logic is wrong.

Atheism is the opposite of theism
Rejection of God is NOT the opposite of having a concept of God.

It can only sound correct if you start with a presupposition that there is God.

Kinda dont get it. But a fictional novel is understood as not real. Did not happen. A satire. At the same time you cannot call it a lie.
