โ€œCanโ€ and โ€œCouldโ€ are tricky because we can use them for a few different purposes, and the rules are different for each version.

We can make the request with โ€˜Couldโ€™. Which is more formal and polite.

'Can' refers to an ability. You can use 'can' to talk about things that someone is able to do:

So both the sentences are correct. But using โ€œcouldโ€ is politer (or more polite) and formal to ask for a favor.
