“Can” and “Could” are tricky because we can use them for a few different purposes, and the rules are different for each version.

We can make the request with ‘Could’. Which is more formal and polite.

'Can' refers to an ability. You can use 'can' to talk about things that someone is able to do:

So both the sentences are correct. But using “could” is politer (or more polite) and formal to ask for a favor.
