What are your thoughts about praying? Is there a psychological explanation why people feel good after they pray?

opinyon ko as an atheist, praying is a waste of time. pero syempre opinyon ko lang.

pero sa pagkakaintindi ko sa mga barkada kong katoliko, nakakaginhawa sa pakiramdam yung pagdadasal kasi nalalabas mo yung mga sama ng loob mo o di kaya mga problema mo. kaya siguro people feel good after praying.

Prayer is like meditation at least for me. Of course wala akong prayer sa paghingi ng blessings at praising (which, obviously does not make sense). Mostly to appreciate what i have and accomplished at a given time. Forgiveness for my own mistakes, exercise yan para ma identify kung ano pagkakamali ko, at makapag isip ng paraan kung paano i-rectify, and forgiveness for others, specially those I hate the most, To keep a clear psyche. Syempre kung meron goals sa near future, i enumerate them in my mind.

So, altogether, it is an exercise to reorganize my thoughts. Prang defragging sa computer.
