Possibly. Ang main cause nmn tlga ng pinaglalaban nya ay ung inequality between spaniard saka ng filipino ethnicity. Ang goal ay mwala ang racism, at hindi matrato ang mga filipino as second class citizen.

It could be achieved either by full assimilation, or kung hindi nila ibibigay yun, then independence.

But obviously sa panahon ngayon lng natin mlalaman na assimilation is not necessarily good pra sa isang colony. Lalo na kung ang original population ay distinct ang difference ng ethnicity.
