After launching the production version of the 4x2 Avenger battery-electric vehicle (BEV), Jeep did not waste any time in unveiling its more capable sibling, the Avenger 4x4 Concept.

“The Avenger has been designed as a Jeep vehicle from the outset, and the all-electric 4x2 model already offers some of the best-in-class capabilities that identify the Jeep brand. But we couldn’t help but wonder, what would happen if we injected the Jeep brand’s four-wheel drive electrified capabilities into a compact package while retaining the brand’s unique design language, capability, and personality?” said Christian Meunier, Jeep brand CEO.

Jeep put together a package that mixes innovation with great design and high capability and it shows in the concept’s body. It has more tow hooks, wider bumpers, aggressive-looking tires, thicker cladding, extra built-in flood lights, an anti-reflective bonnet sticker, an anti-scratch grille, and a new lightweight roof cargo system concept that uses a special belt system to compress the luggage on the roof.

To set it apart from its 4x2 sibling the Avenger 4x4 Concept has a 21-degree approach angle, 34-degree departure angle, 20-degree breakover angle, and ground clearance higher than 200 mm.

The Avenger 4x4 Concept is the brand’s attempt to enhance its off-road capability with electrification. With more on-demand power and more advanced features, Jeep hopes off-road enthusiasts can enjoy the outdoors more with the concept’s quiet performance.

There was no timetable set for the launch of the Avenger 4x4 Concept but Jeep says that their full portfolio of all-electric models is “just around the corner.”

We can’t wait to see what the concept can do off the beaten path, but for now, we’ll settle for news about when the Avenger 4x2 will make it to our local dealerships.
