You can't compare Public Telecommunications Entity (PTE) sa government entity like Comelec, we know how incompetent they are.

And fyi lang po ha. Baka akala mo government agency / ntc ang mag me-maintain ng database kaya takot na takot ka. Mga PTE po ang mag me-maintain ng database ng kanya kanyang customers hindi po government. Hindi po yan centralized server na sama sama ang lahat na 150M. And you can trust telcos. Again see Postpaid users of Globe and Smart, customers ng PLDT, Converge, and other ISP for example (I know hindi related ISP lang sila, not related on SIM Card registration pero we are talking about customer data breach). Globe has GCash, and Smart has Paymaya na parehas mas at risk compare sa sim card registration. Globe and Smart can apply the same security feature na gamit nila sa e-wallet nila to secure customer data.

Wala pa pong 15 days after ma publish sa official gazette boss baka around katapusan ng October. Tsaka pa lang mag take effect ang batas. At may 180 days ang PTE para iimplement yun sa kanilang subs, hanggang around April 2023 yun.

Of cors business yan eh.. so anyway they can make money eh they will… at the same time anytime they can avoid losses they will also do whats necessary…

Im not a multimillion peso businessman pero im sure na most business owners eh sakop ng batas regardless kung may impact un na losses against them… as far as i know eh telcos nman didnt lobby against this law… sa pagkakaalam ko ah..pdng mali ako… but still… ang isang matalinong business owner would not gamble yung na mapenalize at mafine ng batas along with losing their credibilty ang possibly even their right to conduct their business for the sake of making money kung eventually mas malaki ung posibleng maging losses nila…

D ko pa nabasa ung batas pero Ok to para mdaling mahuli mga scammer, mga fake booking sa mga grab, lalamove at iba pang dark elements na gustong manglamang ng kapwa gamit ang digital platform..

Ang downside lang sakin nito is freenet/vpn user aku which is nkakatipid kac kmi sa isang buwan kysa magpakabit.. Panu kung mablock ang sim and bibili ka bgo they will definetly blacklist ur info for using another sim..

Pareho lang din sguro tayo na may fear somehow na maexposed ung sensitive infos natin… natural na reaction yan eh.. tska nangyayari talaga ung mga breach na yan.. magagaling mga haäckers eh… parang its something na pd mangyari to anyone talaga…kaya nga mas maganda na may mga batas na pd maeensure ung proteksyon ng info natin or at the very least…to pursue those who violated our privacy

Pero kung ung gaya ng una mong sinasabi na gusto mo lang protektahan idenity mo for the sake of ur îllégâl activities eh ambabaw lang talaga…
