Windows Live Essentials 2012 was discontinued by Microsoft on January 11 2017, however I have mirrored the final version of the offline installer for you to download.

Windows Live Essentials is still useful today, even on Windows 10/11. No good free video editing software for Windows 10/11 exists, however Windows Movie Maker included with Windows Live Essentials still does the job really well for basic editing. Likewise the Windows Live Photo gallery application is still a lot more useful than the built in Windows 10 Photo Viewer.

This Windows Live Essentials 2012 Offline Installer includes the following applications:

• Windows Live Photo Gallery and Movie Maker - Still very useful on Windows 10/11
• Windows Live Writer
• Windows Live Mail
• Windows Live Messenger (MSN Messenger) - MSN is no longer usable, however "Superseded" by Skype. Although to be honest the MSN client is still a lot better than Skype today in my opinion.
