Hi everyone i wanna ask is it okay to use laptop while it's charging? this is the first time i use laptop and wonder if it will damage the battery.

Depende pa rin sa usage. My laptop recently broke down. First is nag bleed yung LCD display because of overheating sa constant at nonstop na pag gamit, and now di na nagch-charge higher than 0%. Looking into getting it fixed soon pero IMO, it's best to keep things in moderation lang

Short answer: Depends sa laptop model mo

Long answer:
sa old laptops na hindi gaming laptops, more likely nakakasira sya. sa bagong laptops like gaming laptops (lenovo ideapad gaming 3 yung akin), okay at safe sya.
for modern laptops, it depends kung meron syang feature na battery only or AC adapter only. so you need to check the model if it supports.

I have bought my laptop since May 9 this year and never used battery unless blackouts or when I cannot plugin my ac adapter.

Based sa pic na ito, makita mo yung charge-cycles: 13 at percentage: 58%. My laptop is limited to only being able to charge between 56% to 60% when plugged in. Merong feature yung laptop ko na Conservative Mode.

Pwede nakin ma disable yung Conservation Mode tapos ma charge siya until 95% and then charging stops, but only uses AC adapter power.
You can see that yung state ay pending-charge, meaning ginagamit nya yung charger ko, hindi yung battery.

Kung gusto mo na hindi masira ang battery, always less than 35°C yung temperature sa battery and then lower chage cycles as much as possible.

Ang charge cycles ang nagdetermine sa maximum battery nya.

Gahapon lang ito, naka 100% ang capacity sa battery. Notice na it went from 12 to 13 and 100% to 99.9778% since ginamit ko sya na hindi nakasaksak.


This is why you should plug your gaming laptop when you play... games or do heavy hardware work for better performance, and also battery health.

sa mga bagong laptop ngayon may app na nagreregulate ng battery when plugged in tulad nito iba-iba lang ang tawag. meron sa acer, lenovo meron din sa iba

sa mga oldy tech.. Hagat endi 15℅ -25℅ above wag mag work ng heavyload.. Pwede lang net browsing gawin o iwanan lang until maabot yung % to full.. Kasi sa pag charge may voltage ramp up kapag flat line yung bat para ma charge si bat kung walang kalaman at pinilit gamitin mag degrade until mag failed to charge o hold charge.. So once may charge na si bat at may capacity na stable flow usually 15%~25℅charge pwede na gamitin pero light load lang once 50℅-80% pwede na heavy load 81%~100% nag voltage charge drop na si bat at babagal na pag charge kung yung latop my charge cut at max automatically off young charge at si bat ay giging avr on plug in nalang... Kung wala charge cut yung laptop from full bat yung charge voltage ay mag drop down at direct to avr mode si bat... Usually 2 yrs life span ng bat at madedo parin kahit gaano ka ingat...
