🕯️ Traditions What is the reason how you've become an Atheist?

Mga ka-PHC, just wondering and curious... How did you become an Atheist? I'm a believer 2 years ago but become an Atheist and the reason is I believe that doing good is enough. Appreciating all what we have and doing what is morally good is enough. My principle is "Do unto others what you've want them to do to you.

Salamat sa mga feedback., mukhang wala pa nga ko sa pagiging full Atheist., I do believe na hindi kailangan ng religion., Maybe there is still a part of me that do believe in God which is doing good. Well, I don't know if doing good requires you to believe in God? My objective is every life, every thing deserves to be respected and well treated. I can't see what is the connection of Morality to God.

he doesn't mean it as objective of your life but it means it does not consider people's opinion, whether it is bad for you it does not matter since only god sets the rules, your opinion to the act does not matter, that is what objectivity is suppose to mean

imho, i don't care if God sets the rule, I would live, do or act according to what is morally right to my fellow people.

Na-gets mo ba sinabi ko? Ano nga basis mo sa salitang doing "Good"? Yeah you can do good without God, pero ano ba ang "Good" para sayo?

Anong basis mo sa "Respect and Well Treated"? Can you elaborate? If you're updated to current news, Rushdie was killed kasi gusto nung pumatay sa kanya i-respect sila. So ok yon sayo?

I can't see what is the connection of Morality to God.

Oh, try to check Mere Christianity by CS Lewis. It is connected to God dahil sya ang source ng objective morality.

hindi po kc pwedeng hindi maganap ang pagkagunaw ng mundo kc lalabas sinungaling ang Diyos.. base sa 1peter,, all things in this world will be dissolve by a fervent heat.wala pong makakatakas maliban lang sa mga aagawin ni Hesus na mga saints..
im not fully deist but still im studying the bible,,
im a bible reader both tagalog,and english bible but my favorite translation is KJV.
