EFESO 2:12

English Translation

EPHESIANS 2:12

At that time, you were separated from Christ, did not belong to the nation of Israel and were not covered by the covenant based on God's Promises. Then you lived in a world without hope and without God.

SEE THE LIGHT

Journalist Malcolm Muggeridge recounted what happened to him. He was a spy during World War II. He said, "I lay down on my bed in despair" He felt that he was alone and could not see any light. he thought of drowning himself so he went to the sea while swimming he caught a glimpse of lights in the distance. He swam in the direction of the lights and even though he was tired, he felt very happy. Malcolm did not fully understand that but he knew that God acted in that moment where he had hope. Apostle Paul wrote about hope from God. He told the people of Ephesians when they did not know Christ "God counted you dead because of your transgressions and sins. You live in this world without hope and without God" "but God is very merciful and great of His love for us, that even though we were considered dead because of our sins, He raised us again with Christ (Tal. 4-5) The world will try to bring us down but we should not lose hope. what Malcolm said, "It has become clear to me that there is no darkness, we just become blind so we do not see the light that is from God forever"
