Was I just a phase?
because you are so much more

Not having you in my life has shaken me to my core.
Being ignored seems to be my place.

And still I care about you
even though I do not see your face.

Was what we had not special enough to erase the mistakes?

We cannot take back what we said,
but we can find our place.

You have had such an impact,
and I cannot fathom this is the end.

I need you in my life, not just as someone special,
but as my true friend.

I know I attributed to your cold heart,
and it is a regret I ponder every day.

And still I feel that something so rare can still be saved.

You can leave me to the ashes,
and leave me in pain

I will hold onto those memories for you,
and allow them to last.

You can act like I do not matter,
and continue to stab my heart with the blade.
