"BAGO TUMILAOK ANG MANOK"
(MATEO 26:75)

English Ver.

"BEFORE THE CHICKEN CROWS"
(MATTHEW 26:75)
. 75 Peter remembered Jesus' words, "Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times." He went out and wept bitterly.
Holy Week was approaching, and Peter's faith was tested.
It was cold that night, so people started a fire in the courtyard. Peter sat down beside them to keep warm while awaiting the outcome of Jesus' trial. (Matthew 26:58) By the light of the fire, Peter saw the doorkeeper face. "Aren't you also one of that man's disciples?" it says. (John 18:17) He was not the only one who knew Peter and claimed to be a companion of Jesus. — Matthew 26:69, 71-73; Mark 14:70.
Peter was very nervous. He was trying not to be noticed, but he was still noticed. So Peter denies that he was with Jesus, saying: “I do not know him and I do not know what you are saying.” (Mark 14:67, 68) Peter even said that “if he is a liar, he is cursed,” meaning that he was ready to be punished if he did not tell the truth. — Matthew 26:74.
Peter could not hide the fact that he was a Galilean because of the point of his speech, so he was obviously lying. Also, in the group was a relative of Malchus, whom Peter had cut off the ear. So he said to Peter: “You were in the garden with him, were you not? I saw you!" When Peter disowns himself a third time, a rooster crows, just as foretold. — John 13:38; 18:26, 27.
This time, Jesus was probably on the balcony. The Lord turned and when he looked at Peter, it was as if Peter had been stabbed in the heart. She remembered what Jesus had said in the upstairs room, just a few hours earlier. Imagine how Peter must have felt when he reflected on the bad things he had done! Peter went out and wept. — Luke 22:61, 62 .... Peter did things he never thought he could do with Jesus. He did not admit the fact that he was a disciple of Jesus and a companion. Instead of defending himself, Peter turned his back on the Lord Jesus, who gives everlasting life. ” - John 6:68. John 14: 6
Peter's ordeal shows that even one who has faith can weaken if he is not prepared for unexpected trials or temptations. Peter thought he had enough courage and strength to stand his faith ... No one can tell us that we will not be afraid or overwhelmed by trial, we must realize that if God does not give us strength and guidance and His help we can do nothing ... So let us hold fast to God let us not hold fast to ourselves or anyone after all, God alone is our only strength. In this time of trouble and trial that we are going through, let us strengthen our faith let us ask God for mercy and compassion to continue to give us strength and faith in Him, let us admit that we cannot overcome all this if we do not have Him. help, let us pray that we do not lose focus on our Lord Jesus and that He will take care of us at all times, and that He will accompany us to face the trials that we are now experiencing. Brethren, once again may our Lord Jesus bless us and keep us now and forever, Amen.
