American singer-songwriter and record producer Keith Eric Martin, best known for his 2004 hit “Because of You,” has died. He was 55.
Martin was found dead in his unit at a c0ndominium in Barangay Bagumbayan, Quezon City yesterday morning.
According to Eastwood police, they received a report about a situation at the c0ndominium building where he was residing. A resident notified the building’s property manager about a foul smell they traced to Martin’s unit.
No further details have been revealed but a few local music artists who have had collaborated with Martin, including Sheree Bautista, Thyro Alfaro, and Kris Lawrence, have already E×ρréššed their disbelief at the demise of the balladeer.
Martin is best known for his other hit ballads such as “Moment in Time,” “Love of My Life,” “Coming Home,” “I Don’t Wanna Think About It” and “Return to Me.”
