Question #10:

Bro. you have mentioned that Adam was already taught by God everything before Adam and Eve transgressed their covenant, what was that "good and evil" they are going to know after they ate the forbidden fruit, mentioned in Genesis 3:22?

Answer:

Dear David,

The good are the commandments (Romans 7:12).

ROMANS 7:12
Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

The evil is the transgression of the good or the commandments. At the start, Adam does not know sin (1 John 3:4; Romans 7:7-8).

1 JOHN 3:4
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

ROMANS 7:7-8
7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.

You must note that the knowledge of good and evil (or the comprehension between obedience and transgression was not known to Adam at the start), but was insinuated by satan (Genesis 3:4-5).

GENESIS 3:4-5
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

God wants them to live in freedom, and does not want them to have cares for what is good and evil; what is right and what is wrong. He just wanted them to enjoy life and obey His simple commandment: to multiply and replenish the earth (Genesis 1:27-28).

GENESIS 1:27-28
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

God bless.
