Moon And Star Constellation Coasters DIY

Supplies
Paint (in black, gray and white)
Paintbrush
Wooden Circles
Sponge (optional)
Star Stamp
Constellation Map/Chart
Clear Acrylic Spray (not pictured/optional)
Glitter (not pictured/optional)

Step 1: For the moon coasters, I used a combination of black, gray and white paint. What I basically did was paint a layer of gray, then while the paint was still wet, mixed in some black and white. To really give the moon some texture I used a sponge between each layer of paint (this also helps blend all the colors together).While your paint is drying you can add some glitter for some sparkle (but thats totally optional).
When your done you should have something like picture 2.

Step 2: Paint your coaster black. Once your paint is dry, choose a constellations from your You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now. and draw it out with a white colored pencil (make sure you mark where the stars are, by drawing a dot). When your happy with your constellation drawing, begin stamping (where the dots are) with your star stamp. Then set your coaster aside to dry.
On a side note, you can also add white dots around your constellation to fill out the black space and make it look like there are more ''stars''.
Step 3: When all your coaster are dry, take an acrylic spray and spray them. This will give them a protective coating and seal in the glitter.
Once your coaster are completely dry, then your done!
This coaster set would make a great gift for any Dad or outer space lover! I am also loving these little wooden circles and can't wait to buy more and make other coaster sets.
