Vitaly Skakun, a Ukrainian soldier, blows himself up to destroy Henichesky Bridge, preventing Russian forces from approaching. The bridge was initially planned to be bombed by a mine, but the Russian troops was advancing, so there was no time to detonate it remotely.

Skakun radioed his comrades and informed them that he would do it manually, bidding his buddies goodbye.
