There are two models that we’re highly anticipating from Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) – the Hilux GR Sport and the Fortuner GR Sport. The two sportier models will be the latest addition to the brand’s Gazoo Racing lineup alongside the Vios GR Sport. While TMP has remained tight-lipped about the official specs and pricing, we did receive the supposed prices of both the You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. At the second leg of the 2021 Toyota Gazoo Racing Vios Cup, it seems TMP prepared a big surprise for everyone. The automaker has both models on display, giving us a sneak peek of the upcoming GR Sport models.

Starting with the pick-up truck, the Hilux GR Sport is very similar to the Thailand-spec release and is set to be the new top-of-the-line variant in the range. It gets a new bumper, wheels, and a black sports bar. There are also GR Sport badges all around to show that it’s not just a standard Hilux Conquest. Red brakes with a GR Sport logo add a sportier touch.

Inside, there are a host of GR Sport items. These include GR sports seats with contrast red inserts, a GR steering wheel, and sports pedals. What did pique our interest is the new front camera, which we confirmed with the camera button inside the cabin.

As for the Fortuner GR Sport, it’s also similar to the Thailand-spec model. It’s based on the range-topping LTD variant, but the new bumper and grille add more aggression to the Fortuner. Though a bit more subtle, the SUV also gets a revised rear bumper with an integrated diffuser. New wheels, red brake calipers, and GR Sport badging complete the exterior makeover.

Interestingly, we were told the Fortuner came with different rear shock absorbers. This leads us to believe it comes with revised GR Sport exclusive suspension bits compared to the standard Fortuner LTD.

The interior of the Fortuner GR Sport is similar to what you’d find on the Hilux GR Sport. However, Toyota didn’t add the red inserts on the seats and is instead black. In front of the driver, there’s also a new cluster with red dials. There are also contrast red stitching all around in contrast with the all-black cabin.

No official prices were given, but the 2022 Hilux GR Sport and Fortuner GR Sport are rumored to retail for PHP 1,985,000 and PHP 2,509,000, respectively. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait too long to find out once TMP officially launches the two models on October 23.
