Despite being found guilty of cyber libel, Maria Ressa was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

In June of last year, Ressa was found guilty of cyber libel in a case brought by businessman Wilfredo Keng based on a 2012 article that linked a businessman to îllégâl activities. Ressa faces a maximum sentence of six years in prison, but she has filed an appeal.

Ay kaya may screening process ang "prestigious" award na ganyan kasi for life nilang advocacy ang pagiging harbinger of peace and justice. Hindi 1 time big time at photo ops ang advocacy at humanitarian work. Hence ang very first reply ko na it's not that big of deal of an award kung naging nominee nila ang isang trump at nalusutan sila ng isang Aung SansuKyi

At the time she was awarded, nobody knew that she will become what she became!! The Rohingyas's problem has nothing to see with the Nobel Prize! Don't mix everything, that's how people get confused and come to wrong conclusions.
