Diosdado Pangilinan CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
Pangilinan is running without an official lineup but said he is supporting the reelection bids of Pampanga First District Rep. Carmelo Jon Lazatin, Gov. Dennis Delta Pineda and Vice Gov. Lilia "Nanay" Pineda.
During a press conference held at Bale-Balita in Clark Freeport Zone, Pangilinan itemized his platforms with a seven-point working agenda that would bring tangible impact to the living conditions of Mabalaqueños.
These include strategic alliance and partnership with nongovernment organizations, private sector, and volunteers to provide livelihood and other skills training.
In social services, he wanted to establish a locally funded home for the homeless senior citizens and street children. He is also pushing for financial aid and medical assistance to the elderly, persons with disabilities, solo parents, and eradicating extreme poverty and hunger as well as promoting gender equality.
Pangilinan also vowed to end corruption, pursue public accountability and transparency.
Pangilinan was among the prime movers in the conversion of the municipality of Mabalacat into a city, and the creation of the Mabalacat City College.
He was elected four times as president of the Pampanga Press Club and an active member of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas. Currently, he is the communications officer of the Angeles City Government and main anchor of Mayor Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin Jr.'s "Lingkod Bayan" program.
