Manila Mayor and Aksyon Demokratiko standard bearer Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso vowed to stop divisiveness and indecisiveness if he wins next year.

The mayor formalized his run for the presidency by filing his certificate of candidacy (CoC) on Monday.

The former actor was accompanied by his wife Diana and running mate Dr. Willie Ong, who also filed his CoC for vice president.

Speaking after filing his certificate, Domagoso said he would be one with the people in putting a stop to divisiveness and indecisiveness.

Moreno filed his CoC on October 4, a special day for him since it is the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi.

Domagoso's late mother, Rosario, named him after the saint whose life centered on serving the poor and oppressed.

It is also the birthday of his late mentor, star builder German "Kuya Germs" Moreno.

Domagoso said he will announce his party's senatorial slate "in the coming weeks."

Aksyon Demokratiko so far has two names in its Senate ticket: Moro civil society civic leader Samira Gutoc, who filed her candidacy over the weekend, and educator and entrepreneur Carl Balita.

Domagoso joined the party in August and was elected as its president a week later.

"Sa lahat ng mga eleksyong sinalihan ko, ngayon ako kabadong-kabado — para kang may ahas sa bituka. Balewala ang problema ko sa kinakaharap ng mga kababayan natin (Of all the elections I have joined, now's the one I am most anxious about — it's like having a snake in your stomach. But my problems are nothing compared to what our fellow countrymen are experiencing)," Domagoso said.

"In my own little way, lahat ng oras, lakas ng pangangatawan na aking tanging puhunan, ibubuhos kong kayo'y mapaglingkuran, maibsan ko lamang ang inyong dinaranas. Mga kababayan, ako po ay kaisa ninyo upang pigilan na ang pagkakahati-hati natin bilang mamamayan (In my own little way, I will dedicate my time and energy in serving the people to ease their struggles. My fellow countrymen, I am one with you in uniting the nation)," he added.

He stressed that he is willing to work with anybody who would want to be part of their campaign to address the issues faced by the people.

Domagoso reiterated his support for Ong, saying their team-up will effectively address the problems within the government without an administration-opposition tug-of-war happening on the sidelines.

Ong promised to focus on the pandemic and economic response to boost the country's recovery.

Commission on Elections Education and Information Department Director Elaiza Sabile-David said 11 other presidential bets submitted their CoCs on Monday, the fourth filing day.

They are Leo Cadion, Sonny Boy Andrade, Juanita Trocenio, Alfredo Respuesto, Gabriela Larot, Faisal Mangondato, Maria Mercedes Pesigan, Delia Aniñon, Renato Valera, Melchor Juno and Wiston Cayanan.

So far, 20 people are vying for the presidency.

Signing up as vice presidential bets were Laban para sa Kapayapaan, Katarungan at Kaunlaran (KKK) candidate Carlos Serapio and Philippine Green Republican Party (PGRP) candidate Princess Sunshine Amirah Magdangal, bringing the total to seven.

There were also 16 new filers as senatorial candidates, pushing the total to 39.

Monday's filers for a Senate run are Narciso Solis (Independent), Marieta Mindalano-Adam (KKK), Roberto Aniceto Jr. (PGRP), Guzman Claro (PGRP), Maria Lourdes Santiago (PGRP), Edgar Miranda (PGRP), Rosita Maura de los Angeles (PGRP), Jigger Pitos (PGRP), Eleazar Calmpiano (PGRP), Bobby Francisco (PGRP), Pedro Austria (PGRP), Florencio Carlos (PGRP), Anthony Castro (PGRP), Mario Mangco (PGRP), Junbert Guigayuma (Independent), and Janet Jeanie Tang (Independent).

Ten party-lists also signed up for the 2022 elections on Monday, raising the total to 48.
