🔒 Closed "The Suicide Squad" I'm confused?

I watched the suicide squad last night and nalito ako, akala ko continuation sya nung unang suicide squad but then na confuse ako
nawala na lahat ng character maliban kay Harley Quinn at rick flag though Harley Quinn still in the movie pero di ko na masyadong nagustuhan yung roll nya para sakin lang ah? hinahanap hanap ko kase yung pagiging craziness nya at pagiging lover addict nya though i love their new tank nasi King Shark so cutteee haha

anyway i'm still confuse, is it The Suicide Squad continuation? or rebooting? or standalone?

It's not a complete reboot- kasi old cast such as harley, rick flag, captain boomerang and amanda remain

so hindi:

It's not a complete sequel- they do not emphasize a clear connection between suicide squad and the suicide squad pero already established na yung relation ni harley captain boomerang at rick flag without the movie addressing why

para sakin lang ah? hinahanap hanap ko kase yung pagiging craziness nya at pagiging lover addict nya

Kung pinanood mo yung birds of prey alam mo na moving on na si harley sa relation ship nila ni joker so talagang mawawala na yung lover addict nya at nandyan pa rin naman yung craziness nya kaso lng pero this time uninfluenced na by joker kasi she's trying to be a character of her own. kung napanood mo yung harley quinn cartoon series (thought not related to any dceu movies) ito yung objective nya" to be a separate character to joker.

Kung confused ka pa rin feel free to watch the movie again. maybe you will understand more as well as the Easter eggs. Ikaw na rin bahalang maghanap ng actress na gumanap kay mantis from guardians of the galaxy.

According to the producer, The Suicide Squad not having to rely on the stories before it.

"We just don't address it in any tangible form. Yes, they're the characters [and] the actors that played them in the first movie. But we really wanted to make sure that this stands on its own two feet. So, again, it's why... it's not a sequel, but there are some characters that were in the first movie, right? So it's not really a full reboot either. So we just call it James Gunn's The Suicide Squad."
