🔒 Closed Ano sa pagkakaalam nyo ang RA 11055?

Republic Act No. 11055 otherwise known as “Philippine Identification System Act” is an act establishing a single national identification system that aims to provide a valid proof of identity for Filipino citizens and resident aliens of the Philippines, signed by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on 06 August 2018. Sino ang may gusto nito na makaka avail?Is it compulsory po ba ito? Naka pag register ka na ba?

Ako po, nakapagregister na pero wala pa ung ID. I dunno if compulsory pero wala namang namilit sakin haha ginusto ko naman para may magamit in the future.

Kung binasa ninyong maigi yung RA na yan, malinaw naman na hindi pa compulsory, pero yan yung target nila. Read it again!

In simplest form, it's a one-time "ID+Registry number" used to authenticate your identity in all government and private sector transactions as menioned in Section 9 & 13. Doon sa mga covered sa section 9 & 13, yan lang ay enough to transact instead of bringing many proof of identification or multiple IDs. Kung inubliga na ng mga ahensya na kailangang may PhilID or PSN ka, saka lang obligado na yan.

Ang most likely na hindi masyadong mangangailangan ng PIS ay binanggit naman sa Sec.9.......

Special arrangements shall be made for registration of the following:

(1) Minors;

(2) Senior Citizens;

(3) Persons with disability;

(4) Indigenous Persons; and

(5) Persons in Institutional Households.

Obvious naman kung bakit, pero pwede pa rin silang mag-avail kung gusto nila.
