🔒 Closed Discussion: Olivia Rodrigo Walmart Version of Taylor Swift

Okay, don't get me wrong, I listened to OR's Drivers License which is a bop. It's very emotional and sentimental to be honest I love it talaga. But when I heard that she's dropped an album called SOUR, I can't help but wonder na some (maybe mostly) of her songs are ripped/sampled from TS' songs like to give an example, De ja vu is similar to Cruel Summer and 1 step forward 3 steps back is from New Year's Day. It's her first album and I don't exude any hate towards her. I don't know about you but I think the industry is desperately trying to find someone who's new and maybe younger version of TS.

I think thats okey. Bcs if it worked the first time..
Ang huling dinig ko e nagbago ng genre si taylor since her fans are also growing old and having their music tastes evolved.
So industry would try to find a new taylor for new young fans.

Wala namang mali dun. We had 1D after Backstreet Boys, BTS after 1D. Lahat sila may originality. And imo very original ang SOUR as a whole. Nakakamiss na din ang teen pop albums, nauso yan noong early 2010s.
