No, seriously. The World Bosses are so important for gears, I'm a filthy casual who doesn't stand a chance at getting the 1st spot extra rewards so when I go to the World Boss I create a party and invite people who are also on the boss. Usually it will allow my party to finish 1st and we claim the rewards.
I've still yet to get a purple though... At least I am in it to win it!
