We must examine our own common courtesies and work on changing ourselves to be the very best that we can be. We must set an example for others. Tell us how you feel about this. As a new comer, this is what I see when a trick or knowledge has been shared on a post. We usually get them for free right? So my question is, "Is it really necessary to tell the Thread Starter that his/her shared post is not working?".

not really.. it depends on you.. the members are the one using/trying their posts.. if you ignore it, then ignore it.. and if you want to tell him/her that his/her post is not working, then do it..

for me, giving feedback on their post, whether the post is working or not, is useful so that the thread starter, as well as the members, will be informed that the post is working or not..

Welcome to phcorner.org!

Natalakay na yan past few years ago.

On my opinion, No...because reading the word "Not Working" will just take away the T.S.'s eagerness to share useful posts. If it is not working, keep it to yourself. Think about other people’s feelings first because it’s not all about maximizing your personal convenience:)

Atleast in 2nd time around working talaga. Hahaha

Nice topic.
To everyone, understand that tricks are tricks.
It is a method of circumventing the norms. And whatever method it is to circumvent, still it will not work for everyone. NOT ALL PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THIS the way you and I and most of the members here do.
And so it leads to arguments which we, as moderators look out for.

I appreciate your concern about courtesy. Then again not all people are bred the same.
Feedbacks are important, and this is where courtesy and respect shows depending on the manner of the response.

When you say "not working sa akin, location ko is blah, blah, blah"
It is helpful as other people from the same location knows they will get the same result and move along to find and try another trick that might work for them.
At times you may see comments like "tang*na*o! nagshare ka pa di naman nagana".
Parang ang sarap patayin nung nagcomment diba? But you don't have to engage people like that.
Notify them to us and our action will be swift and decisive.

As for us, we will not tag a posted trick thread if it's working or not. One trick that is not working for you maybe working for others. And even if it's not working today, it is still useful as a reference for it may work tomorrow.
That's the beauty of tricks. They are unpredictable.
