Problem is not where you work but what position you're in. Like its hard to compare working as a Team Leader in the consultant side compared to a junior staff on the client side.
Tama... Let say part of Project Management Team, sabihin na lang po natin na Senior Project Engineer or Senior Design Engineer positions...

Client side usually don't have Senior Design Engineers as they are already the Client. Most if not all times they outsource such work in independent firms to make things more objective in terms of technical comparison. Mahirap din kasi maging subjective as stakeholders could consider such as biased. Senior Project Engineer however is a very broad position on the other hand. Btw, I don't work in this project, just similar environment though.

Secret. As mentioned, I work on a similar environment. The important part for myself is that you enjoy your job as it is easier to stay in an environment you enjoy working with regardless of the salary, well as long as the salary is right. Important things to put into mind is that Client side usually consider experience and age as the basis for salary compared to consultant side which considers technical expertise.

One thing to note though that the construction and let's say operation on the client side of things might have different sets of personnel's involved. It might even have different types of specializations (or specialization selections) involved depending on the phase of the project. Most times the team who builds is not the one who operates.
