Duterte expands ‘direct access’ of internet, app, web firms to satellite systems

Under Executive Order (EO) No. 127 issued March 10 and which copy was released to the media on Thursday, the President expanded the access of telecommunication entities such as internet service providers and operators of apps and web-based services registered with the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) to all satellite systems in order to improve the quality of their services.
