Yes, different health care facilities uses different venipuncture methods.

2. Yes, syringe method. It is easy to use and convenient to use compared to butterfly method. When drawing blood the phlebotomist can easily see the back flow of blood. It is cheaper compared to ETS. It is cost effective especially to those primary and secondary facilities because they usually use Red, Lavender and sometime Blue top vacutainer tubes.

Some healthcare facilities uses more than one method because they offered numerous tests and uses more than 3 colors of vacutainer tubes. These facilities usually are the tertiary, private hospitals/laboratories. They are using more than one to save time. ETS & syringe method was used depends on the number of tests tubes that will be drawn from the patient.
