PCG rescues 15 Mindanao fishermen drifting for 6 daysPhilippine Coast Guard personnel have rescued 15 fishermen after drifting in the sea for six days.
"Unang Balita" reported Friday that the 15 fishers' ordeal began when their boat took on a lot of water and sank in the middle of cyclone Auring's onslaught in northern Mindanao.
They were reported missing for several days, the report added.
According to the Philippine Coast Guard, the rescued fishermen only sustained minor injuries, adding that the victims are now in General Santos City and are scheduled to be taken to Surigao City this Friday. —LBG, GMA News
