Lets have a look at the pay-offs Player A/B R P S R 0,0 0,1 1,0 P 1,0 0,0 0,1 S 0,1 1,0 0,0 Now, if Player A chooses to go for R,R there are 6 cases. Player B can come up with 1) RR Pay off for Player A 0 2) PP Pay off for Player A -2 3) SS Pay off for Player A 2 4) RS Pay off for Player A 1 5) RP Pay off for Player A -1 6) PS Pay off for Player A 0 With the above data we can't say that RR is a STRATEGY for the game. In fact with any combination RR, PP, SS, RS, RP, PS the pay-offs will be same. As the probability of each event is 1/3 and both the changes are mutually exclusive. Thus there is no proper strategy for the game in ideal condition. However if we were to assume physiological effects it may have been a strategy.
