🔒 Closed Consultancy level - I.T Veteran help

Hello sir/ma'am,
Just wanna have your consultant advice for me to decide what particular path do I need to take.
In my college years I really do excel in software programming. But when I start finding a job.
The market hired me as an IT support and developed further my skill by the years past by I'm now an
IT support specialist but an outdated programmer which no confidence on different programming languages anymore.
My concern is that I'm now comfortable on the path in hardware and network management but I still do really want to be a professional programmer.
What path should I take, Is it hardware or software?

Ilang taon kana ts? Explore ka lang. Malawak naman ang IT tsaka maganda nga yan para kahit san ka mapunta balang araw alam mo na pareho. Itry mo muna ang programming tsaka mo tignan san ka mas masaya Then saka ka magdecide ano ang mas ipupursue mo. Goodluck. Fightingg!

Thank you for the advice pero is it time consuming kapag pagsasabayin ko?
I have a research that most company is hiring someone having a specialization because they only need an specific job function to perform for their company, they don't hire someone with good at everything.

Bata ka pa naman po pala. Hindi naman pagsasabayin I mean why focus for few years sa programming, para mapagbigyan mo din yung tunay na gusto mo. Then saka ka magdecide kung ano talaga ang gusto mong maging career after that. Kung talagang gusto mo yung programming hindi oras ang iisipin mo, kundi yung learning growth at experience. Mas maganda din yung sa dulo wala ka pagsisihan heheh

Same here TS, I started as a software dev, ang kaso lng mas demanding dito sa amin ung hardware at networking kaya medju d na naka kuha ng jobs sa software dev, dependi din po yan sa job market nyu, nag eenjoy din po kasi ako sa hardware kasi madami na din akong gaming setup na na commission, kumuha din ako nang electrical course sa tesda kasi nag seset din ako nung lights. depende na sayu TS kng saan ka mas nag eenjoy, pero consider mo din ung job market baka ma hirapan ka mag hanap ng trabaho.

if ever may suggestion ba kayong pwede kong maging specialty na patok sa market now as an IT professional?

hardware sir, mura na kasi ngayun mga PC parts kaya mas marami na ung bumibili nito for personal use, kng gusto mo naman software ung MS office pag aralan mo especially Excel. para lng po yan sa starting sir atleast may income ka na pumapasok, pag medju maka luwag ka na, pwd ka nang gumawa ng portfolio mo sa programming. kng medju may kaya ka nmn TS at gusto mong maging programmer pwd ka nang mag start gumawa ng portfolio for programming then kuha ka license, maganda nmn ung job market sir basta licensed ka lng, mas ma bilis lng ung pera sa hardware kasi nga halos lahat ngayun eh online class at online jobs, mag papasetup nung pc 500 na agad un, pag magaling ka halfday lng kaya ma tapus yan.

P.S.: mas madali ung exam sa hardware NC2 kaysa sa programming, I think NC4 un.
