what is the advantage of having cwm recovery after rooting your phone?

I'm a having a problem with the Google Play po kasi .. Kahit malakas yung connection (3G) nag coconnection timed out. Minsan naman maghihintay ako ng almost half an hour sa pagdadownload pero Error 495 naman lumalabas. Ano po kayang possible na dahilan? Don't know what to do .. Thanks in...
