How to upgrade/downgrade your D2K FT10 ver. 2159 to ver.2973 and downgrade back to ver.2159

The purpose of this tutorial is to learn some basic knowledge on how to make a simple updater server.
1. requirements are setting up first your FTP Server

• There are several ways to make an FTP Server; FileZilla is the most known FTP server, you can also make use of the default Windows FTP server
• For this Tutorial I will be using this https://phcorner.org/threads/how-to-make-you-own-ftp-server-using-xampp.1209747/

2. Configuring Server Side
- Create Access account to your Server; Sample FTP-Username - xftp ; password - 123456
a. on your fileZilla console Click the edit and choose user, you may also click the icon with one face
b. on the user pane click add and input xftp see below as the username and then click OK


c. Check box of the password and input 123456 as password of xftp user.


d. Assigning the Shared folder;

• Click Shared folders and in the shared folder pane click add
• Select the folder named below as your shared folder

- set your folder option below, i prefer read only below, then you may now click OK to save Share folder settings


e. On the Share folder Create D2K folder and put the Firmware rename the below to PLDT_IDU_GDM7243QT.PRG

Your Server Side is now complete

Configuring Modem Side
a. Open and access your modem telnet - https://phcorner.org/threads/how-to-access-d2k-ft10-superadmin-Pásswørd.1202657/
b. we will be setting the below to communicate with our FTP Server; my ftp server ip is 192.168.1.49
nvram_set 0 upgrade_enable 1
nvram_set 0 upgrade_protocol http
nvram_set 0 upgrade_method 3
nvram_set 0 upgrade_http_url
nvram_set 0 upgrade_http_period 10
nvram_set 0 upgrade_ftp_server 192.168.1.49
nvram_set 0 upgrade_ftp_port 21
nvram_set 0 upgrade_ftp_username xftp
nvram_set 0 upgrade_ftp_password 123456
nvram_set 0 upgrade_ftp_file /D2K/PLDT_IDU_GDM7243QT.PRG
nvram_set 0 upgrade_ftp_period 10
nvram commit 0

c. after sending the below command you may now reboot your server - NOTE: your modem will communicate to your FTP server minimum of 10minutes after every power on.

d. Also verify on your Modem console on the tr069 settings, see below


e. you will need also to set your port forwarding on your modem, i have below my port forwarding configurations


All are set, verify if the run time of the modem is below 10mins. reboot modem if it is already above 10mins run time
a. initial ver. 2159

b. the modem communicates with the ftp server below, your modem will reboot


c. Relogin to the modem console and you will see that your firmware has been updates to 2973


d. see time and the firmware details - your nvram,cfg will still be as is


e. rename the current firmware on your Shared folder now use the 2159, rename to PLDT_IDU_GDM7243QT.PRG
f. Reboot your Modem
g. the modem communicates again to the ftp server


h. see below the new details/updates on your Modem console; the firmware updates back to ver. 2159.

i. see the firmware update details below of your modem console

Full protection naman sa ftp updates(unli reset) , Lodi, ang magandang pamasko sana lang, hehe, hirap mangapa haba codes, nakakaduling. Mukhang mahirap gawin kahit via pm nalang, ang lupit din kac sa updates si Talino

version 2993 sa akin boss, di ba pwede?

waiting ako boss baka sakaling mabuhay pa d2k ko na usim not ready. tas bura ang imei, imsi at ung mga serial din nabura. nangyari kasi sa kasagsagan ng pagpaparemote ko biglang nawala net tas pagkarestart ayun wala na.

Yup, kasi same process lng yan sa updates ng oem.
Seconds lng po yung pagupdate ng modem
