Boss, you may skip steps 1-3. Just go directly to http://192.168.1.1/pldtadmincel.htm. When prompted for user/password, login as adminpldt. It worked on my end just. I have root access again. Hope this helps.

Have just accessed adminpldt again. Here's what I did: This will work if you still know your old password for adminpldt. Skip steps 1-3. (No need to go to http://192.168.1.1). Also, you will just get an "not found" error in step 3. Go here directly instead...
